How many Jazz bands are there at WHS?

Waukee High School has two Jazz bands. The Waukee Jazz I and the Waukee Jazz II.

How do you take part in Jazz band?

Auditions take place the 3rd week of May for placement in a band for the following school year. Bands are announced before the school year ends as the top Jazz band typically starts rehearsals over the summer.

Where do Jazz Bands perform?

Both bands perform at festivals and concerts outside of school as well as for a school audience.

What should performers wear for concerts?

Performers are required to wear a suit or equivalent level of attire.
