Waukee High School has two jazz ensembles, Jazz One, and Jazz Two.  Both jazz bands perform regularly at festivals, concerts and gigs throughout Iowa.  Waukee Jazz One has placed at the Iowa Jazz Championships 12 of the last 20 years culminating in state championship performances in both 2012 and 2018.  This year, Waukee Jazz One will perform at the SCIBA Jazz Preview Show, SCIBA Jazz, The Waukee Jazz Clinic, Noce Jazz and Caberet,  The Jack Oats Jazz Festival, Tallcorn Jazz Festival, The Ron Battani Jazz Festival,  the Blue Note Jazz Festival, and The Waukee Jazz Showcase.
